When an event type requires approval and has a price, your guest's card is now authorized at booking but not charged until you accept the request. If you decline, the guest cancels, or the request isn't accepted in time, the hold is released automatically and they're never charged.
How it works
- Enable Event Requests on a priced event type — no extra setup needed.
- At booking, the guest sees that their card is only held, not charged, and the full amount is captured the moment you accept.
- Declines, cancellations, and requests left unanswered release the hold on their own.
Good to know
- Card authorizations are only valid for ~7 days, so a pending request is automatically declined after 6 days to release the hold cleanly before it expires.
- Paid approval-required bookings are limited to one guest per booking.
